Ketchup (“the app”) is designed to work entirely on your device. This policy explains what that means in practice.

What we collect

Nothing.

Ketchup does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information. There is no account to create, no sign-in, no cloud sync, and no analytics.

What the app stores on your device

The following is saved locally on your iPhone or iPad only, using Apple’s standard UserDefaults storage:

  • Your timer settings (focus duration, break duration, sessions per cycle)
  • Whether you’ve enabled notifications and Live Activities inside the app
  • The state of an in-progress timer, so it can resume if you background the app or reboot your device

This information never leaves your device. Uninstalling the app removes it completely.

System permissions the app may request

  • Notifications — used only to alert you locally when a focus or break session ends. The app does not use push notifications and does not send notifications from any server.
  • Live Activities — used to display the remaining time on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island while a session is running.

Both permissions are optional; the timer works without them.

Third parties

Ketchup contains no third-party SDKs, analytics, advertising, or tracking. It does not make any network requests.

Children

Ketchup does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If the app ever begins to collect any data, this page will be updated and the change will be noted in the App Store release notes before the new version ships.
